Release and Deploy IIS and .NET Applications
Microsoft .NET is the platform of choice for many enterprise applications. .NET usually handles the front end Web and business logic of an application, coordinating activities among web servers, databases, legacy systems, and load balancers. Deploying .NET applications into the datacenter involves many steps across multiple tiers with multiple servers, such as:
- Copying version files to the destination servers

- Running SQL scripts to update database schemas and data
- Moving, renaming, and backing up web folders
- Updating IIS configurations
- Adding and updating XML parameters
